Miracle Kid Monday: Lucia and Miles

Lucia and her brother Miles came down with pneumonia. Lucia spent three days in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Cottage Children’s Medical Center before being transferred to the pediatric unit for another three days. The second night she was in the PICU, Miles was admitted to the pediatric unit where he spent two days. Their parents split their time between hospital rooms until they were all able to go home. Now, Miles is back to playing football and soccer, and Lucia is enjoying arts and ballet.
