Time to #HelpKidsLiveBetter with Walmart
Local Walmart stores have kicked off their annual #HelpKidsLiveBetter campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!
Money is raised primarily through a register campaign where customers and members contribute $1 or more when they checkout. Associates also fundraise in other fun ways including bake sales, in-store contests, and events. Look for “wishing wells,” umbrellas hanging from the ceiling to help “change” a child’s life, and special table displays at local stores.
Last year’s campaign raised $39,688 for Cottage Children’s Medical Center from the following locations:
- 1168 W. Branch St., Arroyo Grande
- 701 W. Central Ave, Lompoc
- 180 Niblick Road, Paso Robles
- 2220 S. Bradley Road, Santa Maria
- 2240 S. Bradley Road, Santa Maria
- 500 S. Blosser Road, Santa Maria
This year’s register campaign runs June 22 through July 19.
Walmart ands Sam’s Club joined the CMN Hospitals fundraising family in 1987 with Sam Walton himself being personally involved in the beginning of the relationship between the organizations. The #HelpKidsLiveBetter campaign supports Walmart’s goal of giving back to local communities.
To date, total fundraising from Walmart and Sam’s Club for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is more than $1 billion. Thank you, Walmart and Sam’s Club!
