Thomas Fire: Some Evacuations Lifting

Some Thomas Fire evacuation orders have begun lifting:

• Mandatory-to-Voluntary Evacuation:  The area of Old Mill / Hot Springs Road, from Highway 101, north to Highway 192 (East Valley Road), east to Toro Canyon Road, and then south to Highway 101 (Map Sections MTO 10, MTO 11, CRP 7 and CRP 8) has been changed from mandatory to voluntary evacuation, effective immediately.
• Voluntary Evacuation Lifted:  The area of Constance, over to Los Olivos, then north to APS, east to North Salinas and then south to Highway 101 has been lifted and there is no evacuation order in place.

The change in evacuation orders is a positive sign and we trust there will be more of them in coming days. Cottage Health facilities have remained outside the boundaries of all evacuation notices, and is operating business as usual with full staffing, emergency generators and strong air filtration.
