Thomas Fire: 115,000 acres
The Thomas Fire has reached 115,000 acres. 400+ structures have been destroyed and 80+ more have been damaged.
Air quality warning remains in effect through the weekend. Free N95 face masks are being distributed on Friday 12/8 starting at 10:30 am at:
- Costco, 7095 Marketplace Dr., Goleta
- Franklin Community Center, 1136 East Montecito St., Santa Barbara
- Albertsons, 1018 Casitas Pass Road, Carpinteria
Schools remain closed and classes have been canceled, including at SBCC, UCSB and Westmont.
Highway 101 is open in both directions.
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is running with full power, strong air filtration, and is operating “business as usual.”
