Scheduled to open for patient care soon, it will serve as the center for pediatric excellence in the region, providing lifesaving care to children and helping all families thrive. The décor of CCMC is designed to reduce stress and to provide a comforting, healing environment for children and families.
CCMC inpatient care consists of the following areas:
Acute Pediatrics
38 beds in the unit
All private rooms with sleeping areas for patients and families
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Multidisciplinary unit that provides care for critically ill or injured children and adolescents
Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, offering the highest level of trauma care between Los Angeles and San Jose, with more than 6,000 visits last year
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
22 state-of-the-art beds, an isolation room, procedure room, and natural lighting
Family waiting room with amenities that support 24-hour visits from parents
Now on the same floor as Women’s Services, which includes the Birth Center and Mother-Infant Unit, providing closer proximity for mothers and families
