In the News: Compton Pavilion Grand Opening

Today’s lead article on Noozhawk highlighted another milestone at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH): The completion of Compton Pavilion, which houses Cottage Children’s Medical Center on its third floor. Celebrations of gratitude and self-guided tours have been taking place throughout the week and patient care is scheduled to begin November 4.

First Floor
Teaching amphitheater (144 seats)
Museum (paying tribute to the 127-year history of SBCH and its service to the community)
Oncology (12 beds and enhanced accommodations)

Second Floor
Expanded Emergency Dept (24 private treatment rooms; Level I Trauma Center)
Telemetry (32 beds; capability to monitor 80 patients)

Third Floor
Cottage Children’s Medical Center (CCMC)
Acute Pediatrics (38 beds)
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (8 beds)
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (22 beds)
