2019 NICU Reunion at the SB Zoo

NICU graduates and their families were treated to a ZOOPER fun time at Cottage Children’s Medical Center’s NICU Reunion at the Santa Barbara Zoo on Sunday, October 13. Highlights included former patients reconnecting with Cottage caregivers, face painting, superhero characters, bounce house and slide, Children’s Miracle Network art table, and a look inside our pediatric ambulance. Colorable reunion t-shirts (fabric pens) brought out the creativity of NICU grads, and families were encouraged to enjoy visiting the zoo animals.

Special thanks to the Santa Barbara Zoo for their help and wonderful location, Cottage Health Nutrition Department for providing healthy and delicious snacks, to the DJ for spinning upbeat family-friendly tunes, and to our volunteers from Bank of America, UCSB Honors Program, UCSB GauchoThon and Cal Poly Dance Marathon.
